Resources for Children at the Intersection of Immigration, Foster Care, and Juvenile Justice

Youth Law Center’s Immigration Resource Library project is designed to equip legal, child welfare, and juvenile justice advocates with the tools they need to protect children impacted by immigration enforcement and family separation. Children whose parents are detained or deported are at heightened risk of entering the foster care or juvenile justice systems and too often, advocates lack accessible, up-to-date guidance on navigating the complex intersection of immigration, child welfare, and juvenile justice.

To fill this gap, YLC is curating and updating a centralized collection of high-quality educational and advocacy materials. This online resource hub will provide legal professionals, advocates, and community organizations with immediate access to essential information to safeguard children’s rights and ensure they receive the services they need. The library will be regularly updated and shared through our support center channels, including the Transition Aged Youth Civil Legal Practice Exchange.
