Joan Paglinawan Cauyong (she/her) is a current fellow in the Youth Law Center’s 2025-26 Scholars In Action Fellowship and an active Project Change student from the College of San Mateo. She strives to use her lived experiences in a positive and impactful way to support justice impacted individuals overcome barriers and challenges that come with incarceration and complex life circumstances. While the incarceration system disproportionately impacts men, Tiffany brings visibility to the often-overlooked stories of women who have endured similar struggles. As a resilient and evolving young woman who has faced a wide range of life challenges, she is deeply passionate about offering the support she once needed but did not receive. She believes that every person’s story is unique — we may not all walk the same road or head toward the same destination, but every journey holds value.
