Youth Law Center’s Work Bridging the Digital Divide for System-Impacted Youth Attracts New Support from the Michelson 20MM Foundation

Youth in foster care and juvenile justice are among California’s most digitally excluded populations, and for years, the Youth Law Center has led policy efforts to ensure normal childhood experiences and bridge the digital divide for these system-impacted youth. This work was recently recognized by the Michelson 20MM Foundation. which selected the Youth Law Center as one of only four organizations to receive funding from its 2025 Digital Equity Spark Grants initiative. The 2025 Digital Equity Spark Grants support projects that advance policy advocacy, promote broadband as a civil right, and address digital equity as a social determinant of health. They help shape a future where all Californians can fully participate in society, democracy, and the economy. Click here to learn more.
