YLC joins #CheckForUs campaign

YLC is proud to be part of the #CheckForUs campaign, aiming to inform thousands of young people across the country that they are eligible for financial assistance and other supports through the older youth provisions of the Consolidated Appropriations Act, which became law at the end of 2020. In addition to creating a moratorium on aging out, this law provides $400 million to states to meet the needs of youth in and with experience in foster care during the pandemic and recovery. California is ready to distribute funds- CA youth 18-27 have until September 3rd to verify their eligibility and until September 30th to receive funding.
